We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic English teachers for our August 2021 - June 2022 school year. We seek versatile and creative applicants who would thrive in a bustling environment while teaching primary school students, adolescents, and young adults. One teacher will also teach learners who are 4-5 years old. In addition to English classes, Na’atik teachers organize and conduct special events and field trips throughout the year.

We are also looking for an enthusiastic English language educator to run our school’s library which includes developing, promoting and providing free library programming for our local English language students.

The librarian role is fundamental to the growth and development of our English language program. Working directly with the students, the ideal candidate will be able to deliver a creative program of activities in the library as well as engage our international study abroad students through cross-cultural language exchanges.

Located in the small city of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo, Mexico, Na’atik makes its home in the heart of the Zona Maya, inland, approximately an hour south of Tulum and two hours north of Belize.

Our mission at Na’atik is to create a multicultural hub for both locals and international visitors that celebrates and inspires the teaching and learning of languages, specifically English through our English program for local children, and Spanish and Maya through our Study Abroad Yucatan program, all of which are delivered through authentic, cross-cultural experiences.

Through charitable donations and funding from our own study abroad program, Na'atik is able to provide an affordable English language program which includes a free, interactive lending library. This education gives young people in Felipe Carrillo Puerto the opportunity to achieve a higher living wage, improved career prospects, and exposure to other cultures.

We are a team of educators dedicated to advancing education in our corner of the developing world. We invite you to apply if you are interested in making a real-world contribution to an amazing community.

Please check out our Facebook page and website to learn more about Na’atik. We also recommend looking at our blogs to learn more about life in our town.
