English Storytelling Instructor + Children’s Book Illustrator

As We highly values teaching English through story to children aged 3 to 12 years old, you will be helping us achieve these goals by:

1. teaching children English through story using our lesson plans to small groups (3 to 7 students) of children 
2. assist in activity creation
3. problem solve with cultural issues that arise due to the new learning language
4. facilitate in event management and assistance

Our position : English Storytelling Instructor + Children’s Book Illustrator 

For children’s story illustrators, the artistically inclined, your work will engage and awe the little ones by giving them visual stimulation for the stories they hear. Using different methods (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Indesign and / or other video editing software) Lanva including stretches by hand.

Position : full-time

Location : Hong Kong

Contract duration : 1 year

C;ass size : 3 - 7 students class, one-on-one teaching

Start date : flexible / continuously hiring

Job Duties:

• Creating illustrated stories while working with our author team, so you can inspire children through your beautiful illustrations 
• Reach out to children through social media using regular illustrated posts and story
• Assist with promotional materials so more children can hear your stories and more about how our organization teaches
• Preparing for regular events (small, medium, large group sizes) for children only or children + parents so you can see how your illustrations are received
• Assist with marketing and advertising campaigns so students can discover what illustrations you’ve made

Qualifications: 

• Minimum - high school diploma (degree preferred)
• Must demonstrate patience and love for children
• Must have proficient/ native-level English skills
• Must love story

Requirements:

• A love of kids is essential. 
• Must possess a clean background check
• Must possess a valid passport
• Must be willing to relocate to Hong Kong for the coop term
• A university degree is an asset
• Candidates without teaching experience/ work experience with children are welcome to apply
• Must be prepared to inspire children through story & illustration
• Decent working knowledge of computers is essential (especially MS office, Google Suite, etc.)
• Preferred familiarity with the Adobe series (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premiere, etc.) and video editing software.

Salary and benefits:

• $18,000 - $22,000 HKD / month subject to experience and qualifications
